Retail Banking Technology Lead Solution Architect

Job Description

Lead architecture strategy and solution design efforts across multiple enterprise initiatives Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions Define solution architectures, integration approaches, and technical standards Review and approve architecture designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams throughout project delivery Develop architecture roadmaps and support long-term technology planning Identify technical risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities Present architectural recommendations and design decisions to executive stakeholders Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects and development teams Drive modernization efforts while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and solution architecture roles Experience leading end-to-end architecture initiatives across complex enterprise environments Strong background designing scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions Expertise with cloud platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, integration patterns, and modern architecture frameworks Ability to partner with business leaders, product teams, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders Experience creating architecture roadmaps, target-state architectures, and technical governance processes Strong understanding of application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership Experience driving solution design from strategy through implementation Proven leadership experience mentoring architects and technical teams Experience within retail banking environments Knowledge of digital banking platforms, lending, deposits, payments, or customer servicing solutions Experience with enterprise transformation or modernization initiatives Familiarity with TOGAF or other architecture frameworks and methodologies Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration programs Financial services industry experience
