Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a capable Information Technology / Information Assurance Specialist to support Special Access Programs (SAPs) within Department of Defense (DoD) environments, including Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartmented Programs. This individual will provide day-to-day operational, cybersecurity, and compliance support across Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP environments, ensuring secure, compliant, and mission-ready systems in highly regulated and classified networks.

Compensation: $54.90/hr. - $60.80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k)-retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage complex software configurations and system interfaces across assigned systems
  • Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Prepare systems for operational use and support testing and validation activities
  • Review, develop, and maintain authorization packages, including all Bodies of Evidence (BOE)
  • Communicate changes that may impact system authorization or accreditation
  • Conduct cybersecurity self-inspections and identify vulnerabilities
  • Implement mitigation strategies and ensure systems comply with all security policies and lifecycle requirements
  • Administer user accounts across multiple authorization boundaries (create, modify, disable)
  • Provide end-user and client system support, including external systems and government-issued devices
  • Perform hardware/software configuration, upgrades, patching, and system modifications
  • Support Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including scheduling, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with media control and accountability processes
  • Manage COMSEC accounts and associated equipment

Skills and Requirements

Required Clearance/Certifications/Education:

  • Active Top-Secret SCI (TSSCI) Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or similar field
  • 9-12 Years of Relevant Experience in lieu of Degree
  • Worked within SAP Environments
  • Completed Training: DoD 8570.01-M
  • IAM Level II in lieu of IAT Level II

Must-Haves:

  • 5-7 Years of system/network administration or information technology/assurance experience.
  • Has Operated and secured IT systems within SAP/SCI environments, ensuring continuous availability, compliance, and mission readiness
  • Owned RMF / ATO lifecycle support, including maintaining authorization packages and validating all required Bodies of Evidence (BOE)
  • Administered and secured core infrastructure (servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems)
  • Previous experience in identifying vulnerabilities and execute remediation, maintaining alignment with DoD and NIST security standards
  • Has performed hands-on system administration (configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting) across classified environments
  • Managed user access across multiple authorization boundaries, ensuring proper provisioning and strict access control
  • Conducted cybersecurity inspections and enforce compliance, including responding to changes that impact system accreditation
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2012R2 Server, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2016, Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware
  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to Assessment and Authorizations
  • Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL2 systems; experience with PL3 & PL4cros
