Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Grants Specialist to join the top healthcare organization in the Tri-State area. This Specialist will provide advanced pre-award support for faculty and research teams for Neurology. On a daily basis, this person will manage complex grant submissions, develop and review budgets, coordinate with collaborators and subcontractors, prepare progress reports and continuation submissions, support award setup activities, and advise Principal Investigators on sponsor requirements and institutional policies. They will also track grant activity, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and serve as a mentor and resource to junior grants administration staff

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Research Administration, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of grants administration, research administration, or sponsored research experience.

  • Strong knowledge of both pre-award and post-award grants administration.

  • Experience supporting federal, state, and local sponsored research programs and regulatory requirements. Experience preparing and reviewing grant budgets and financial documentation.

  • Experience supporting NIH and other federally funded research grants.

  • Experience with grant management systems such as Research Navigator, eRA Commons, or similar research administration platforms.

  • Prior experience mentoring, training, or onboarding grants administration staff.

  • Experience with award setup, no-cost extensions, continuation submissions, and other post-award administrative activities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel for budgeting and grant tracking
