Cloud Remediation Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the Automotive F&I industry, is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to join its Cloud Services team and support a mature Azure governance program across a complex, multi-subscription environment. This is a highly hands-on role focused on Azure governance, Terraform, cloud networking, identity, automation, and platform standardization. Working alongside the program lead, you'll help implement and scale Azure Policy, reusable Terraform solutions, and cloud governance controls while partnering with DevOps, security, and application teams to drive adoption across the enterprise. This is an opportunity for a builder who enjoys balancing architecture with execution and has a proven track record influencing technical teams in large-scale Azure environments.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cloud architecture experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure architecture in enterprise, multi-subscription environments
• Deep Azure governance expertise (Azure Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, tagging, guardrails)
• Advanced Terraform experience, including modules, remote state, imports, and CI/CD delivery
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and governance controls at scale
• Strong Azure networking experience (VNets, hub-and-spoke, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
• Microsoft Entra ID expertise, including hybrid identity, Conditional Access, managed identities, and federation (Okta preferred)
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL
• Experience driving technical standards and adoption across cross-functional teams
• Experience working within regulated environments and formal change management processes
• Azure certifications ( AZ-104, AZ-500 or AZ-305) and/or Terraform Associate
• Azure Landing Zone design and Azure environment modernization experience
• Experience with Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, and/or Azure SQL
• Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience
• Experience with AKS, Azure Container Apps, or containerized workloads
• Proficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and automation scripting
• Experience with self-hosted CI/CD runners and Entra Connect Cloud Sync Experience implementing security benchmarks and remediating cloud security findings
