Job Description
We are seeking a Propulsion Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and flight readiness of spacecraft propulsion systems. This role will work across multiple spaceflight programs and contribute to propulsion hardware development from concept through qualification and mission operations. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop spacecraft propulsion systems, including tanks, valves, regulators, plumbing, and fluid systems.
- Support propulsion hardware integration, assembly, and vehicle operations.
- Develop and execute component, subsystem, and system-level test campaigns.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
- Author engineering documentation, including requirements, procedures, test plans, and reports.
- Collaborate with systems, structures, avionics, manufacturing, and mission operations teams.
- Support design reviews, qualification efforts, and flight readiness activities.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting propulsion, fluid systems, or aerospace hardware development.
- Experience with liquid rocket propulsion systems, pressure vessels, valves, regulators, and fluid components.
- Experience developing and executing hardware qualification and acceptance testing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Space industry experience required.
- Experience with spacecraft, launch vehicle, lunar, or satellite programs.
- Familiarity with propulsion system integration and flight hardware.
- Knowledge of liquid rocket engines, pressure-fed systems, and propulsion safety analyses.
- Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and environmental testing.
