Full job description

CNC Programmer

Location: Northampton, PA

Job Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire

Shift: 1 st (7:30am-4:00pm)

Compensation: Up to $100k Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong machining background to join a growing, stable machine shop.

This is a customer-driven job shop environment—not a repetitive production setting. You’ll work on a variety of challenging, custom machining projects, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam and Fanuc controls

  • Program large equipment including horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathes, and vertical bridge mills

  • Work closely with machinists to communicate programming instructions and assist with setups

  • Provide hands-on support throughout the machining process

  • Maintain a strong focus on quality and accuracy

  • Research and implement improved machining methods to increase efficiency

  • Help manage and support machinists to keep projects on schedule

  • Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges

  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer demands

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop

  • 3+ years of Mastercam experience

  • Previous hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist

  • Strong understanding of machining processes, setups, tooling, and programming

  • Experience with Fanuc controls

  • Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and specifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Experience

  • SolidWorks

  • FARO Arm

  • Experience programming and machining large components

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
