Emergency Housing Shelter Supervisor
Oneonta, New York
About Us:
Opportunities for Otsego is one of 1,000+ Community Action Agencies across the nation that are actively fighting the "War on Poverty" based on President Lyndon B Johnson's ideal. Since 1966, Opportunities for Otsego has focused its attention on specific problems affecting the greater Otsego County community, mobilized resources, and developed solutions to unlock opportunities for low-income individuals and disenfranchised families.
OFO's Emergency Housing program helps homeless and at-risk households during their transition from temporary to permanent housing. OFO assigns a case manager to help clients connect to community resources and find safe, stable housing. OFO's emergency shelter is free to income-eligible households, with a minimal fee for non-eligible households.
Opportunities for Otsego is seeking a highly qualified solution-oriented professional to supervise shelter operations at Opportunity House, OFO's emergency shelter. OFO's Emergency Housing Assistance Program (https://www.ofoinc.org/find-service/emergency-housing) team is part of the solution to the local housing crisis, offering hope and stability to homeless families and those at risk of becoming homeless.
