Description: Mercy Home Health Care has a need for a Full-time (1.0 FTE - 40 hours weekly) RN WOCN Consultant. This position is based from our Newtown Square branch office and supports Delaware and Chester Counties.

The WOCN is responsible to provide wound care to the patients of Mercy Home Health. Coordinates treatment to provide comprehensive wound care assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients. Provides patient, family, and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections, and other therapies.

Current RN licensure with WOCN required or Certified prepared wound, ostomy, and continence nurse (WOCN). Valid driver’s license and car insurance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved nursing education program
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of PA
  • One (3) years experience as a professional care nurse
  • Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation
