Senior Power Platform Developer / Technical Lead

Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer / Technical Lead to help design, develop, and mature our use of Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.

This role will initially partner closely with IT leadership on a Power Platform proof of concept and subsequent production initiatives. The successful candidate will bring deep, current platform expertise and help guide solution design, development, integrations, governance, security, and application lifecycle management.

This is a hands-on technical role. We are looking for someone who can both advise on architecture and build solutions, identify platform limitations, challenge assumptions, and recommend when Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft 365, APIs, or custom development are the appropriate tools.

Day to Day

• Design and build scalable, secure Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365.

• Create and manage Dataverse data models, security structures, forms, views, and business rules.

• Develop integrations with internal and third-party systems using APIs, Azure services, and custom connectors.

• Determine when solutions should be built in Power Platform vs. Azure or traditional development environments.

• Establish development standards, governance processes, naming conventions, and reusable architecture patterns.

• Manage environments across Development, UAT, and Production, including deployment strategies.

• Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), source control, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and solution management.

• Design secure solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Dataverse security roles, and least-privilege access principles.

• Support Power Platform governance, including DLP policies, auditing, monitoring, connector management, and Managed Environments.

• Review solutions for performance, scalability, security, licensing, and maintainability.

• Stay current on Microsoft Power Platform updates and recommend improvements.

• Document architecture decisions, integrations, standards, and lessons learned for future projects.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves

• 7+ years experience building and supporting enterprise-level Power Platform solutions in ENTERPRISE production environments

• Hands-on expertise with Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Platform Solutions, security, and ALM.

• Experience configuring, customizing, and integrating Dynamics 365 with the Power Platform.

• Deep understanding of Dataverse architecture, including data modeling, relationships, ownership, and security.

• Proven experience integrating Power Platform with external business systems and applications.

• Experience working with REST APIs, authentication/authorization, and custom connectors.

• Knowledge of environment management across Development, UAT, and Production, including deployment processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 integrations.

Ability to assess technical requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend the best solution. Plusses:

• M&A integration experience

• Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Key Vault

• Microsoft Graph experience

• Dataverse Plugins, PCF Controls, or Custom APIs

• Azure DevOps and CI/CD

• ERP integrations, including NetSuite

• Experience building integrations with ICMS and other enterprise systems

• Power Platform governance implementation
