Job Description

Job Summary Insight Global is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and diagnostic imaging services. This individual will perform high-quality 2D and 3D digital mammography exams while ensuring compliance with MQSA, ACR, FDA, and state regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an outstanding patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of image quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D and 3D digital mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
  • Review and post-process mammographic images to ensure diagnostic quality and accuracy
  • Verify patient information, obtain necessary documentation, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with radiologists to discuss imaging findings, exam requirements, and quality concerns
  • Conduct and document required quality control procedures in compliance with MQSA, ACR, FDA, and state regulations
  • Monitor mammography equipment performance and escalate operational concerns when necessary
  • Educate patients on exam procedures and address questions regarding mammography services
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Manage billing documentation, consents, and inventory/supply monitoring as required
  • Support additional imaging department initiatives and projects as assigned

Skills and Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT(R)(M))

  • Active State Mammography License (if required by state regulations)

  • Experience performing digital mammography procedures, including 2D and 3D mammography

  • Working knowledge of MQSA, ACR, FDA, and state compliance requirements

  • Experience performing mammography quality control testing and documentation

  • Strong patient care and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and image quality standards Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume outpatient imaging center or breast health clinic

  • Additional radiology modality experience

  • Familiarity with EPIC or other electronic medical record systems Experience troubleshooting mammography equipment and workflow issues
