Job Title: Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Technician specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems specifically related to airfield navigational aids. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the reliability of critical infrastructure components such as runway lights, taxiway signage, and visual glideslope indicators. You will also engage in significant concrete civil work as part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair airfield navigational aids including runway lights, taxiway signage, and visual glideslope indicators.

  • Work on mid to high voltage systems and perform concrete civil work.

  • Operate equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and trenchers.

  • Conduct underground utility construction and airfield lighting tasks.

  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adhere to safety standards.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2+ years of experience working on airfield systems.

  • Experience with concrete forms and pours.

  • Proficiency in operating mini excavators, skid steers, and trenchers.

  • Familiarity with NAVAIDS, Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPI), and Very High Frequency (VHF) omni-directional range (VORs).

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in airfield systems and utilities construction.

  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.

  • Willingness to travel to various states in the southeast.

Work Environment

Technicians will primarily work in outdoor environments, whether at new construction sites or existing facilities requiring upgrades. The role requires flexibility to work in all weather conditions and travel extensively across southeastern states. The work schedule typically consists of 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays or Saturdays if project demands. Travel weeks involve meeting at the office, traveling to the site on Monday, and returning home after the last workday of the week, with rare weekend work.

This is a Contract position based out of Baxley, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
