Job Title: IT Engineer, Workplace Technology

Location: New York City (On-site)

Our client is a high-growth creator commerce platform connecting digital creators directly with premier consumer brands. Headquartered in New York City with a team of approximately 250 people, the company is actively expanding its physical headquarters with a second office floor to support accelerating business growth.

As the first dedicated Workplace Technology Engineer and the second hire on a lean InfoSec & IT team, you will take complete ownership of the technology employees interact with every day. Based on-site in New York City, you will manage service desk operations, conference room AV, office network performance, and upcoming expansion build-outs. This role offers genuine technical autonomy to establish workplace IT standards, eliminate recurring issues at the root, and build an exceptional user experience from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in IT support, desktop engineering, or workplace technology within a fast-scaling corporate environment.

  • Deep hands-on proficiency troubleshooting macOS and Windows endpoints, alongside modern SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta).

  • Direct experience administering device deployment and endpoint management via Apple Business Manager and modern MDM tools (e.g., Rippling).

  • Solid foundation in conference room AV systems (Zoom Rooms, displays, microphones) and local office networking (WiFi site diagnostics, access points, wired cabling).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage external IT vendors and contractors across hardware delivery, cabling projects, and office build-outs.

  • Strong written communication skills with a disciplined approach to creating clear runbooks and user documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and triage the internal IT support channel and ticket queue, resolving hardware, software, and access issues against clear response targets.

  • Identify patterns in incoming requests and implement root-cause fixes to prevent recurring tickets.

  • Maintain conference room AV environments, running proactive checks across Zoom Rooms, microphones, and room scheduling systems.

  • Act as the on-site owner for the corporate office network, managing WiFi coverage, port testing, and vendor escalations with structured diagnostic data.

  • Lead technology deployments for office expansions, overseeing cabling walkthroughs, AV installations, and network readiness.

  • Manage the full hardware lifecycle using Apple Business Manager and MDM, handling procurement, provisioning, shipping, asset tracking, and loaner pools.

  • Direct technical onboarding and offboarding to guarantee day-one readiness for new hires and secure equipment recovery for departures.

  • Author clear, centralized IT runbooks and documentation to ensure organizational knowledge is thoroughly recorded.

This is a full-time, on-site role in New York City offering competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, and an energetic, high-ownership team culture where your work directly shapes the company's daily operations.
