Safety SpecialistHelp Build the Future of Digital Infrastructure
Are you passionate about workplace safety and looking to make an impact on some of the most complex construction projects in the country? We're seeking a Safety Specialist to support large-scale data center construction projects across Wisconsin. In this role, you'll be a key driver of site safety, partnering with project teams, contractors, and field personnel to create and maintain a culture where safety is the top priority.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career safety professional who wants hands-on experience in the rapidly growing data center industry while working alongside experienced construction and safety leaders.
What You'll Do

Develop and implement site-specific safety plans that support safe and successful project execution.

Conduct field audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and proactively address potential safety concerns.

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.

Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to verify adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and safety observations, helping identify root causes and corrective actions.

Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to promote awareness and accountability across the jobsite.

Maintain accurate records of audits, permits, incident reports, training documentation, and compliance requirements.

Partner closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and trade partners to integrate safety into every phase of construction.

Foster a strong safety culture by building relationships in the field and encouraging proactive hazard identification and reporting.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance jobsite safety, efficiency, and compliance.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.

Current OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification.

Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.

Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage field personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to investigate incidents and help implement corrective actions.
-
Willingness to spend significant time in the field supporting active construction operations.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Internship or field experience supporting commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.

Knowledge of high-risk construction activities such as energized work, crane operations, confined spaces, and fall protection.
-
Experience conducting safety training or leading toolbox talks.
-
CPR/First Aid certification.

Strong desire to grow into a leadership role within construction safety.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Washington, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
