Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Patient Visit Specialist

Deliver Outstanding Service to Every Patient!

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Patient Visit Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide a high level of support and customer service for all patients and guests of the practice or program. Assure that patients who are unfamiliar with the program are personally guided to their destination and provided a "warm hand-off" to the staff. Works directly with the providers to assure proper coordination of care for each patient.

What You'll Do:

  • Acts as a point of contact for providers and staff with any patient scheduling questions or concerns.
  • Supports the patient visit through personalized attention to contact, referrals, check-in, check-out, and/or follow-up.
  • Obtains insurance verification and secures authorization required for services provided.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule office appointments.
  • Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
  • Schedules research patient per research protocol.
  • Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.

General Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Coursework in insurance/billing, medical practice education or seminars are all preferred.
  • CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or comparable healthcare environment.
