Job Description

The Accounting Manager leads the day-to-day accounting operations and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, production, and executive leadership to deliver financial insights that support strategic and operational business objectives. The Accounting Manager oversees the monthly close process, inventory and cost accounting activities, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting support, and the development of accounting staff in a growing, evolving organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

  • Oversee the monthly close process, including preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements.

  • Manage inventory accounting and standard costing activities to ensure accurate cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to provide financial insights that support operational decision-making.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial analysis that supports strategic business objectives.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data, variance analysis, and recommendations.

  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and external financial reporting requirements.

  • Develop, mentor, and support accounting staff to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Manufacturing industry experience.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP.

  • Experience with inventory accounting.

  • Experience with standard costing.

  • Experience with financial reporting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Osseo, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
