Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sales Engineer for a leading electronic manufacturing client. This role combines engineering expertise with customer-facing sales responsibilities, supporting sensor and interconnection solutions across South America. The ideal candidate is an early-career engineer who enjoys building client relationships, providing technical support, managing commercial activities, and helping customers solve complex automation and instrumentation challenges. This position offers strong growth potential, industry exposure, and the opportunity to work with a global market leader.

Day to Day:

  • Drive technical sales efforts for sensors and interconnection products
  • Develop new business opportunities across Argentina and South America
  • Maintain and grow long-standing customer relationships, many exceeding 20 years
  • Support distributors and customers with technical and commercial guidance
  • Prepare quotations, pricing, and customer proposals
  • Track projects from opportunity creation through invoicing and completion
  • Conduct customer meetings and occasional site visits
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend technical solutions
  • Follow up on orders and ensure successful project execution
  • Partner with internal technical support and account management teams
  • Expand Amphenol's automation and sensor business within key industrial sectors

Skills and Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical Engineering with specialization in Control & Instrumentation (completed or near completion)
  • Up to 4 years of professional experience
  • Fluent English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (less than 25%)
  • Sensor industry experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to automation, instrumentation, controls, or industrial technologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and professional
  • Customer-facing communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Long-term career interest and stability
  • Previous technical sales or sales engineering experience
  • Experience with sensors, connectivity, instrumentation, or automation solutions
  • Experience supporting industrial customers and technical projects
  • Salesforce or other CRM platform experience
  • Background with companies such as Honeywell, Wika, Pepperl+Fuchs, or TE Connectivity
  • Electronics or automation engineering background
  • Experience working through distribution channels
  • Knowledge of Agricultural Machinery, Oil & Gas, Mining, or Industrial Automation markets
