Tax Manager
System One is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee fuel and sales tax compliance, reporting, audits, and tax-related initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing tax filings, supporting business operations with tax guidance, and leading a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities

Motor fuel excise tax returns
-
Sales tax returns
-
Tax rate updates for billing
-
Responding timely to customer inquiries related to tax rates, exemptions, etc.

Leading fuel and sales tax audits with states and the IRS
-
Review of tax diligence reports for potential acquisitions

Manages 2-4 analysts
-
In office 5 days a week
Qualifications
-
Strong experience with sales tax and/or fuel tax compliance.

Experience managing tax audits

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.

Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday.
