This role offers a hybrid schedule with significant remote flexibility; however, candidates must be local to the area and available to come into the office as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and trusts

  • Analyze financial records and tax documentation to ensure accurate and timely filings

  • Research tax regulations and apply current tax laws to client situations

  • Identify and resolve tax issues while maintaining compliance with federal and state requirements

  • Utilize tax preparation software to complete returns and maintain organized workpapers

  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service

  • Manage multiple engagements and deadlines throughout the year

  • Review supporting schedules and documentation to ensure accuracy prior to filing

Requirements

  • Experience preparing tax returns in a public accounting environment.

  • CPA preferred, or actively pursuing CPA licensure

  • Working knowledge of individual, partnership, S-corporation, and trust tax filings.

  • Proficiency with tax preparation software, including ProSeries.

  • Strong understanding of tax preparation processes, documentation standards, and filing deadlines.

  • Ability to analyze financial information carefully and identify discrepancies or incomplete records.

  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
