Full job description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications.
  • Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate operational tasks using Python scripts.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health using Grafana, New Relic, and cloud-native monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and IAM policies following security best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes (K8S) fundamentals, including deployments, services, pods, namespaces, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and image management.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability, including: Log monitoring, Metrics collection, Dashboard creation and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and New Relic.
  • Good understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, including users, roles, permissions, and policies across cloud environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Basic knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and firewalls.
