Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 100 HOSPITAL DR City: HENDERSONVILLE State: North Carolina Postal Code: 28792 Job Description:
- Assists licensed clinical staff in providing safe, effective patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Provides patient care and clinical support within the scope of paramedic training, certification, applicable protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with emergency patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, specimen collection, transport, and documentation as directed.
- Supports patient flow by preparing rooms, stocking supplies, transporting patients, and assisting with procedures as appropriate.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, emergency responders, and members of the healthcare team.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and ready work environment by following infection prevention, safety, and departmental standards.
- Documents patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
- Delivers compassionate customer service to patients and families.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients to the level of certification [Required]

Ability to maintain a professional and calm presence under the most critical situations [Required]

Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required]

Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required]

Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively [Required]

Must have the ability to react calmly and effectively in the most critical situations [Required]

Knowledge to identify patient acuity levels [Required]

Ability to utilize and adapt to state-of-the-art technology, computer systems, and computer applications [Required]

Effective oral and written communication [Required]

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and others of diverse backgrounds [Required]

Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment [Required]

Strong critical thinking skills [Required]
Education: High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Associate [Preferred]
Work Experience: 1+ related work experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- National Incident Management System FEMA Training (NIMS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
