Work Environment
The role operates primarily in a remote work environment, with the option to work from various office locations if desired. The firm is a multi-discipline design-build organization with seven studios that cross-reference projects, ensuring engineers are not limited to a single project type and can gain exposure to different technologies and sectors. The company is large enough to offer a wide variety of nonresidential projects, yet maintains a small-company feel with minimal bureaucracy and a culture of autonomy, where individuals have ownership over their projects and use established tools for consistency without rigid processes. The project backlog is government-backed and stable, with a mix of approximately 60% technology-related work and 40% government projects, and about 90% of work coming from repeat clients, resulting in multi-year forecasting and long-term relationships. Employees benefit from a career-oriented culture with strong longevity, growth and learning opportunities, and an average tenure among senior staff exceeding a decade. Ownership is expanded through a shareholder structure, and the organization supports community engagement and charity events. Dress code expectations align with a professional engineering environment and may vary depending on whether the employee is working remotely or from an office setting.
