This is a bargaining union position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients. Is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for such care.
Provides care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders and an approved plan of care. Promotes communication of patients’ status, change in condition and patients’ need with the licensed nurse.
Functions within Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the nursing department and CVMC/Woodridge.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Successful completion of 75 hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program.
Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in a health care setting is preferred.
Must demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
