Full job description

The Commercial Territory Manager (CTM) for GCP's Infrastructure Business is responsible for driving sales growth across the Infrastructure product portfolio by generating sustained demand and maintaining the company's position as the preferred choice among owners, engineers, consultants, contractors, distributors, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position will be located in the New York area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with the Commercial District Sales Manager and Business Unit Director to deliver sales growth and sustained demand.

  • Meets Performance Objectives and Incentive Sales Goals as determined by management.

  • Develops and implements territory strategies consistent with overall business objectives to maximize the effectiveness and quality of sales activities.

  • Calls on owners, consulting engineers, transportation agencies, municipalities, contractors, and other infrastructure stakeholders to create project specifications and drive demand for infrastructure solutions.

  • Actively targets and tracks infrastructure projects from planning and design through bidding and construction phases to maximize project conversion rates using company-provided tools.

  • Builds, maintains, and strengthens relationships between customers and the organization, including owners, engineers, consultants, contractors, distributors, and agency representatives.

  • Conducts and participates in sales presentations, product demonstrations, technical seminars, and educational meetings with customers and industry professionals.

  • Works closely with contractors and project teams to support successful product application and project execution.

  • Identifies and develops new business opportunities while expanding market penetration within assigned territories.

  • Travels throughout the territory and to project sites to support customers, promote product solutions, and assist with project-related needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, marketing, business or similar discipline

  • At least 5 years of professional experience which includes managing customer relationships, sales presentations and closings of sales

  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices

  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking

  • Good interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our Sales Incentive Plan. The targeted bonus amount is 30% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
