We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Performance Chemicals team in Elyria, OH.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Product Management, Customer Care, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders to ensure the timely receipt of raw materials and the efficient shipment of finished goods. In this role, you will help maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and operational excellence throughout the logistics process.

During your day shift as a Logistics Coordinator, you will

  • Creating delivery / shipment / loading / unloading documentation for inbound/outbound materials. Additionally, you will actively monitor BASF resource planning system (SAP) for inbound/outbound materials

  • Completing Goods Receipt in SAP for Inbound bulk and packaged materials, as well as completing Goods Issue in SAP for outbound bulk and packaged materials.

  • Identifying and supporting safety improvements within logistics warehouse operations.

  • Supporting the Logistics inventory process through cycle counts and physical counts process.

  • Issue daily work instructions detailing shipping plans and provide off-shift guidance for supervisors and operators.

  • Monitor inventory to maintain adequate levels for blending activities, ensuring SAP reflects the physical inventory

  • Optimize component location by issuing rail switch instructions as needed.

  • Coordinate with both sister sites and the third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse to oversee product transfers and the drayage of containers.

If you...

  • Possess 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving with a high school diploma; an associate degree with relevant experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Bring experience with SAP, which is considered a plus.

  • Maintain knowledge of proper shipping procedures for the transportation of dangerous goods.

  • Exhibit knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.

  • Show a strong commitment to workplace safety.

  • Display exceptional attention to detail.
