Description

Join Our Care Team

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This position's home base will be Eagles Landing, our Long-term Care Village.

Position Summary

The Charge Nurse (RN/LPN) is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned care area and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This role provides leadership and support to nursing staff, coordinates care activities, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team. The Charge Nurse (RN/LPN) ensures compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, policies, and best practices

  • Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff on assigned shift

  • Coordinate and delegate assignments to ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution

  • Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered

  • Communicate effectively with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided

  • Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols

  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions

  • Address concerns, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner

  • Support compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational policies

  • Serve as a role model and resource to staff, fostering a positive team environment

Requirements

  • Current, active RN or LPN license in the State of Maine

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Basic computer skills

Shifts Available:

  • 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

  • 36 hours per week

  • Every other weekend required
