Job Description

A client needs a strong product leader to help define, execute, and bring to market the roadmap for proprietary software product applications. This person will connect business needs, client/stakeholder needs, and product capability in a highly technical role that spans strategy and tactical execution. This person will work on one of the most time-sensitive and marquee customer-facing capabilities within their AI platform, specifically tied to early case assessment, large-scale document processing, workflow, performance, and hyperscale data systems.

Day to Day:

  • Own product vision and evolve the roadmap across assigned software products.
  • Facilitate product strategy conversations and serve as a caretaker of the business’ product roadmap.
  • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize input from external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Turn customer and business inputs into clear product requirements, positioning, tickets, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage backlog requests, ideas, and defects, and condition them into articulated tickets for Engineering and QA.
  • Define business cases, scope, market requirements, success metrics, and release criteria.
  • Serve as Product Owner through agile software development processes and partner with UI/UX, development, data operations, architecture, QA, and IT Project Management.
  • Support readiness/training as new products and releases go to market.
  • Become a company expert on buyers, user personas, buying criteria, user needs, and market forces.
  • Evaluate third-party software providers, competitive positioning, and product messaging.
  • Support product content, training content, selling materials, RFP/RFI responses, and analysis of usage/business metrics.

Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to work east coast hours
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years of progressive product management experience.
  • Strong technical background.
  • SaaS, AI/ML, information governance, or eDiscovery experience.
  • Agile software development experience in a Product Owner role, ideally Scrum.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to write business requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence internal teams.
  • Excellent documentation hygiene.
  • Ability to own a product area with real accountability.
  • Legal tech, eDiscovery, information governance, document review, legal operations, or workflow/product experience.
  • Data-heavy platform experience.
  • Cybersecurity, service management, planning tools, enterprise SaaS, workflow automation, or complex B2B software could be transferable if the candidate has strong curiosity and broad product ownership.
  • Experience in a services-led organization building software/product capability.
  • Experience working in global operations or selling organizations is preferred.
