SUMMARY:

Working within the Cash Management Department the SVP Cash Management Officer helps lead the efforts of the Cash Management Department and collaborates with Relationship Banking, Commercial Lending and Retail requests for commercial clients seeking cash management products and services.; Acts as front-line cash management sales, sales and relationship manager for commercial clients and performs routine site visits. Responsible for the development and sale of cash management products and services as well as uncovering other business deposit product and service opportunities. Analyzes the needs of existing and prospective business customers of the Bank and recommends new strategies, including the implementation of new products and services. Collaborates with the SVP Cash Management Service and Implementation Officer on projects that affect the department and the bank as a whole and acts as a resource for other team members. Oversees and manages the activities and productivity of the Client Service personnel responsible for deposit account opening and day-to-day client management. Additionally, this position embraces the established sales and service culture to maximize their contribution to the Bank’s goals.

After successful completion of training and proven abilities, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with availability expected during core business hours and agreed upon number of days per-month on site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision, interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers; work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

  • Helps direct the Cash Management Department, ensuring an appropriate culture while delivering an exceptional level of customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Serves as cash management sales expert to the Commercial Lending Officers/Retail Branch Management/Relationship Banking regarding the establishment of cash management products and services

  • Uses discretion when determining pricing and implements those recommendations ensuring the Bank is competitive in its offerings. Maximizes commercial deposit relationships through promoting services to best meet the needs of bank customers, while assessing the potential risk and profitability of these relationships.

  • Performs routine site visits and annual reviews for commercial/business customers to further the relationship.

  • Develops the banks current customer base and acquires new customers. Helps solidify customer retention efforts by providing an exceptional level of customer service. Helps coordinate/manage the implementation process for cash management products and services. Recommends limits and ensures appropriate approvals for products.

  • Prepares and presents proposals for Business Services to customers and prospects.

  • Participate in the credit/loan and Sales meetings to anticipate new relationships which will need to be established at the Bank.

  • Meets with customers on a regular basis to review services, make product recommendations, complete customer reviews.

  • Ongoing cash management sales support to commercial customers. Escalation point for critical department and or customer needs.

  • Helps Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services and the positive resolution of any issues.

  • Ability to discuss/refer customer to other services offered by the Bank i.e. Mortgages etc.

  • Performs follow up calls to Cash Management customers to ensure needs are being met and to look for other potential sales opportunities.

  • Works with the SVP Cash Management Service and Implementation Officer in developing, maintaining, and monitoring internal controls and recordkeeping.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with other department and organizational leaders and maintains operational alignment with core values, vision, strategy and goals.

  • Collaborates with the SVP Cash Management Service and Implementation Officer on internal and external auditors and regulators with their respective engagements.

  • Continually monitors industry trends. Recommends enhancements to increase banks profitability.

  • Provides training and guidance to others in the department on new and existing processes.

  • Attends industry seminars/trainings/networking events relative to Cash Management offerings

  • Participates in before/after hours and/or weekend community/networking events as warranted.

  • Effectively use tools and systems to be able to self-manage, organize, and complete work independently, proactively recognizing potential obstacles resolving them before they become an issue, managing to deadlines, creating action plans when not on track, enabling job functions to happen with minimal oversite and meeting conditions of satisfaction.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Smart Phone - To enable the MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) facilitating access to MSB systems.

HYBRID/REMOTE ENVIRONMENT:

  • Your physical remote location must provide a dedicated workspace that is free from distraction and provides adequate light to be regularly visible on video calls.

  • You must have access to a reliable internet connection with adequate bandwidth to join Teams and other video calls.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience (typically 10+years) related banking experience with progressive leadership responsibilities preferably in a Cash Management environment.

  • Extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal)

  • Project coordination/management experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office Suite products and the Internet

  • Good working knowledge of Data Processing Systems required (COCC preferred)
