Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Training and Development Manager to sit fully onsite in Middle River, MD. The Training & Development Manager is responsible for assessing organizational training needs, redesigning, and implementing effective learning programs, and partnering with supervisors and department leaders to strengthen employee performance and development from screening to orientation to on-the-job training. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership by creating scalable training initiatives, improving onboarding and workforce readiness, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Compensation:
$45/hr to $48/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Skills and Requirements

Experience assessing, redesigning, and implementing employee training, onboarding, and workforce development programs.

Strong HR or Operations background with a focus on reducing turnover through improved screening, interviewing, onboarding, and retention initiatives.

Ability to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor partnering with supervisors, trainers, and employees to drive training effectiveness and workforce development.

Experience creating and managing skills matrices, training roadmaps, SOPs, and documented processes.

Proven ability to coach and influence frontline supervisors, helping define expectations and develop their mentoring and employee development capabilities.

Experience conducting current-state assessments, identifying gaps, and developing actionable future-state training and development plans.

Manufacturing experience required; union environment, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement experience preferred.
