Full job description

You'll own end-to-end design for complete flows within one or more product features. You're a strong individual contributor who thinks in flows, cares about consistency, and takes ownership of outcomes, not just deliverables. You'll work closely with a lead designer, PM, and engineering and help raise the craft bar for designers around you.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Design Ownership:

  • Own the design of complete flows within one or more features from first frame to final handoff.
  • Use the PRD as your starting point and defined product metrics as your design compass.
  • Stay conscious of how your work fits into the broader product consistency of flow, layout, and copy matters.
  • Make design decisions for the flows you own; raise flags early when something feels off.

Execution and Delivery:

  • Drive timely delivery of your flows, working closely with the Lead Designer and PM.
  • Provide clear, actionable design feedback in Figma.
  • Navigate dependencies within the design team and collaborate directly with engineering and product to get work shipped.

Craft and AI-Augmented Workflow:

  • Use AI tools to accelerate your workflow from rapid ideation and prototyping to generating design variations.
  • Incorporate AI-assisted research synthesis and user flow exploration into your day-to-day process.
  • Stay current with emerging AI design tools and bring useful ones back to the team.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work fluidly across designers, researchers, engineers, EMs, analysts, and PMs.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly in Figma, in reviews, and in async threads.
  • Be a reliable collaborator: responsive, clear, and easy to build with.

Impact and Metrics:

  • Own a few KRs as part of the overall design team OKRs.
  • Connect your design decisions to the product metrics your feature is optimizing for.

Team and Culture:

  • Mentor designers within the team through feedback, Figma reviews, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Ensure team processes are followed consistently: Figma hygiene, Confluence documentation, Jira updates, and Slack communication.
  • Participate in hiring: campus events, portfolio reviews, and design interviews.
  • Share your work publicly: post designs on Dribbble or similar forums and represent the company's craft externally.

Requirements:

  • Have designed complete end-to-end flows for complex product features.
  • Think in systems; you see how your flow connects to the rest of the product.
  • Are fluent in Figma and actively experimenting with AI tools in your workflow.
  • Communicate design decisions with clarity and confidence.
  • Take ownership seriously; you don't wait to be told what to do next.
  • Have informally mentored or supported junior designers.
