Role Overview The Assistant Controller - Mission Support oversees corporate accounting and treasury operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial insight. Job Responsibilities Oversee the full monthly close process for corporate accounts, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, invoicing, cash receipts, and account reconciliations. Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely, and well documented, collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance. Manage the monthly bank reconciliation process for all corporate accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, monitor cash flow, and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and financial accuracy. Support the execution of compliant and effective corporate credit card processes. Oversee treasury operations, cash management, and financial analysis, including daily bank transactions, annuity disbursements, working capital investments, monthly bank reconciliations, and corporate credit card processes. Maintain optimal liquidity, manage cash positioning, and develop cashflow projections and liquidity forecasts. Analyze financial trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen financial performance, operational efficiency, and internal controls, communicating insights to leadership to support strategic planning and decision making‑capital investments, monthly bank reconciliations, and corporate credit card processes. Maintain optimal liquidity, manage cash positioning, and develop cash‑flow projections and liquidity forecasts. Analyze financial trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen financial performance, operational efficiency, and internal controls, communicating insights to leadership to support strategic planning and decision‑making. Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement by participating in financial audits, preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and implementing corrective actions. PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time Lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field of study 5+ years relevant experience Experience with financial systems and reporting. Preferred Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in a related field of study 5+ years relevant experience Experience with project management Certifications and Licensure Minimum: CPA Candidate Preferred: CPA or CMA
