Shift: Monday - Friday Day Shift On call as needed

  • Applies continuous quality improvement principles to measure, monitor, and assess service effectiveness and prevent patient injury.
  • Demonstrates 24-hour responsibility and accountability for operations, quality of services, and safety and maintenance programs.
  • Maintains quality services by ensuring appropriate resources, staffing levels, staff competency, equipment performance, and staff training.
  • Responds to emergency calls and takes necessary actions to address facility needs.
  • Maintains accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with patient care.
  • Ensures a safe, well-maintained environment for patients, family, physicians, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinates and performs preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Manages and monitors all aspects of maintenance and construction projects to meet quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ordering parts and supplies related to building maintenance and repairs [Required]
  • Ability to prioritize assignments [Required]
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements from DNV, AHCA, OSHA, NFPA, and other health care related agencies [Required]
  • Must have demonstrated competence with all building automation systems, DDC Controls, Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression, Boilers, Chillers, Air Handlers, HVAC/R [Required]
  • Experience working on pumps, chillers, air handlers, heating and steam boilers, basic plumbing repairs [Required]
  • Read and interpret blue prints [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Customer Relations [Preferred]
  • Interpersonal Skills [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of state and federal hazardous and biological waste regulations [Preferred]
  • Familiarity with building codes, NFPA, AHCA, and HealthCare Regulations [Preferred]

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of healthcare facilities engineering maintenance experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician/HVAC [Preferred]
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) [Preferred]
  • EPA - Refrigerant Universal [Preferred]
  • DNV CHOP-A (advanced) [Preferred]
  • DNV CHOP-B (Basic) [Preferred]
  • DNV CHOP-E (Executive) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
