Organization: SEMC - Sutter Eden Medical Center Position Overview:

Under direction of licensed pharmacist, the pharmacy technician prepares, distributes, and transports pharmaceuticals including hazardous drugs and performs related duties such as interview patients to complete medication reconciliation.

Pharmacy services provided encompass all patient populations of the hospital (i.e. newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, etc.). Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Other: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training Other: Graduate from Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program or two years of college education

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: IV Additive, Unit Dose Minimum of one year of hospital experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to prepare hazardous solutions, IV additive

Pay Range is $37.83 to $47.25 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
