Duties Description Central New York Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned nursing and direct care staff including:• Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff• Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules• Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care• Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside and within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric if they have:• License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, and• 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.Substitution: A master’s degree in nursing may substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience; and a doctorate in nursing may substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.ORCandidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($108,921), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and downstate adjustment ($4,150).Notes:In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). If you are appointed and subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally assisted program), you may be terminated from your employment. If appointed, you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and are required to become a Medicare Provider and lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment.
