Preferred (not required): CrowdStrike Identity Protection, Falcon Platform, Microsoft Defender For Identity, and Semperis.

Insight Global is looking for an IAM Security Engineer to support identity threat detection and response initiatives. This individual will own the deployment and ongoing operation of CrowdStrike Identity Protection across Active Directory and Entra ID environments, while monitoring, investigating, and remediating identity-based security threats. Responsibilities include building detection logic for identity attacks, tuning risk scoring and security policies, partnering with IAM teams to remediate vulnerabilities, reporting on identity risk trends, and participating in an on-call rotation for high-severity incidents
Compensation: $35/hr to $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience in Identity Security, IAM Engineering, or Security Engineering

Hands-on Active Directory experience (trusts, delegation, Kerberos, Group Policy)

Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) hybrid identity environments

Knowledge of identity attack techniques (Kerberoasting, Pass-the-Hash, DCSync, Golden Ticket, ACL Abuse)

Experience with Entra Conditional Access and risk-based MFA enforcement
Nice to Haves:
-
Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Identity Protection, the Falcon platform, or similar identity threat tools like Microsoft Defender for Identity or Semperis

Experience using identity-related security data within a SIEM or Security Operations Center (SOC)

Knowledge of tools that manage and control privileged user access

Ability to write scripts using PowerShell or Python
-
Experience working in environments with SOX or other compliance requirements

Security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, SC-300, or similar credentials
