Job Description

This hands-on assembler role supports the build of chiller units for data centers and custom equipment in a modern, climate-controlled production environment. As you gain experience, you will have opportunities to cross-train into additional assembly areas and expand your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble chiller units for data center applications by following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and build specifications.

  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.

  • Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical schematics as needed to support wiring and assembly work.

  • Assist with general shop and production support duties, including sweeping, organizing, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

  • Shrink wrap and package materials or completed units to prepare them for storage or shipment.

  • Perform material handling tasks, including moving parts and components to support other assemblers and production areas.

  • Support clean-up and organization of the assembly and warehouse areas to maintain an efficient workflow.

  • Work collaboratively with the assembly team to meet or exceed daily production goals.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

  • Participate in cross-training over time to learn additional assembly areas, including custom unit assembly.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to identify issues and help resolve production challenges.

  • Consistently demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude on the production floor.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large, brand-new warehouse with windows, high ceilings, and a climate-controlled environment that houses both machines and assembly areas. The team operates in a small, close-knit setting where leadership is highly visible and treats employees like family, fostering a supportive and fun atmosphere with holiday parties and ongoing appreciation events. The primary site is in Maple Grove, with plans to transition assemblers to an additional site in Dayton when that facility opens, supporting both HVAC and data center-focused operations. First shift runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. Second shift runs Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., also with one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. The dress code is casual, with steel-toe boots required for safety. The environment combines structured production processes with a relaxed, engaging culture that values a strong work ethic, good attitudes, and teamwork.
