This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including operates heavy equipment to excavate, backfill, and grade AND read and interpret blueprints, instruction, and knowledge of underground utilities. You will operate various types of heavy equipment to perform functions such as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth. You will operate sweepers with attachments to sweep roads, parking lots, runways, streets, etc. You will perform clean-up duties, such as cleaning equipment, sweeping, straightening, and lining up tools. You will initiate or annotate forms and reports, such as an Operator's Inspection Guide and Trouble Report. You will grade surfaces to rough or fine specifications by adjusting attachments while a vehicle is in motion on all types of terrain.
