Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
Emulate is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Corporate Development to support and execute strategic growth initiatives across partnerships, transactions, and market expansion opportunities.
This individual will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing collaborations and licensing opportunities, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The role is ideal for someone who brings strong transaction experience and is looking to expand their scope in a dynamic, growth-stage environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate partnership, licensing, and collaboration opportunities aligned with Emulate’s strategic priorities
-
Support and lead execution of corporate development transactions, including diligence, financial analysis, deal structuring, and negotiation
-
Partner with senior leadership to help shape corporate development priorities and pipeline
-
Work cross-functionally with R&D, Commercial, and Legal teams to align on deal strategy and execution
-
Build financial models, valuation analyses, and business cases to support decision-making
-
Contribute to negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements in collaboration with Legal
-
Track and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies
-
Support alliance management and governance activities for key partnerships

Help refine internal processes and best practices for evaluating and executing deals Qualifications:
-
Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, bioengineering) strongly preferred; MBA a plus
-
~8–12 years of experience in corporate development, business development, consulting, or strategy within biotech, pharma, or life sciences tools
-
Experience supporting and/or leading transactions such as partnerships, licensing deals, or collaborations
-
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
-
Ability to engage with both scientific and commercial stakeholders

Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Core Competencies:

Someone who can execute deals end-to-end, while growing into broader strategic ownership

A collaborative partner to internal teams—not operating in a silo

A proactive, detail-oriented operator who can move opportunities forward

Comfortable in a scaling organization where structure is still evolving Work Authorization & Location:
This position is based on site in Boston, MA.
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $200,000 – $225,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and level. This position is also eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
