Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide/Technician to join our healthcare team in Edgewater. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering quality patient care and maintaining a smooth-running therapy environment.

  • Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises

  • Transport patients to and from therapy areas using proper transfer techniques

  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization

  • Sanitize and maintain therapy equipment according to protocols

  • Schedule patient appointments and handle basic administrative tasks

  • Document patient information in electronic health records

  • Stock therapy supplies and monitor inventory levels

  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation for therapy sessions

  • Follow all safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (preferred)

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physical therapy procedures (preferred)

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred)

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements

  • Excellent patient handling and transfer skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical ability to assist patients and handle therapy equipment

  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings

Additional Information

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $15.00-$16.00. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
