Truck Service Tech

Truck Service Technician

Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $20–$25 per hour

Position Summary

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Truck Service Tire Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform essential tire services both in-shop and on the road, ensuring our customers stay safe and on the move. If you’re experienced with commercial and heavy-duty tires and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work on commercial vehicle engines

  • Troubleshoot customer tire needs

  • Inspect vehicles for additional problems

  • Use basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, brake lathes, air wrenches, and other essential tools to perform the job

  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identifying worn or damaged parts

  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion, and completing winterization procedures

  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems

  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards

  • Maintain accurate vehicle records by documenting services and repairs

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service area

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties can and will arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly and assist in other areas as needed.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Commercial and heavy-duty tire experience preferred

  • General mechanical and automotive experience preferred

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team while performing other duties as assigned

  • Valid driver’s license

  • CDL Class A or B license required to test drive larger trucks

  • State Inspection License

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Basic automotive skills and general mechanical knowledge

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
