Read this part first

Scheduling home care is not a quiet desk job. Caregivers call out. Clients change their minds. Someone's mom needs coverage tomorrow morning and the caregiver who was going to take it just got a flat tire. That happens every week, and no software fixes it.

We are looking for the person who finds that kind of problem interesting instead of exhausting. Someone who can get a call at 7:15 a.m. that blows up the day's plan, work the phones, find coverage, and still sound warm and steady when the client's daughter calls to ask what's going on.

If you have done a job like that and it wore you down, this is probably not the right fit. If you have done it and you were good at it, keep reading.

About us

HomeWell Care Services of Boise provides non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults across the Treasure Valley. Bathing, dressing, meals, companionship, transportation. The daily things that let people stay in their own homes instead of moving into a facility. We are locally owned and small enough that you will know every client and every caregiver by name.

This is a new position. We are creating it because we are growing.

What you would own

Scheduling. Build and maintain the weekly caregiver schedule in WellSky. Handle callouts and coverage gaps as they happen. Match caregivers to clients on skills, availability, location, and fit. Keep families informed before they have to ask.

Recruiting. Source and screen caregiver applicants. Respond fast, because good caregivers get hired within days. Run phone screens, verify credentials, schedule interviews.

Office operations. Answer inbound inquiry calls and respond to new leads quickly. Build client files and enter records in WellSky. Prepare weekly payroll data, support billing and AR follow-up. Track caregiver credential and training expirations. Whatever else comes up, because in a small office that is real.

Emergency shift coverage. Rarely, when no caregiver can be found, you step in and take the shift. This is a last resort, not a regular duty, but it is not optional. Everyone here, including the owners, has covered shifts.

What we are screening for

  • Calm under pressure. Not the absence of stress. The ability to work through it.

  • Positivity that holds up on a bad day. Steady tone at 4:45 on a Friday, not just Tuesday morning.

  • Self-direction. You will have clear priorities and weekly team meetings, but nobody will hand you the next task.

  • Follow-through. Most of this job is loops that have to get closed.

  • Teamwork when it counts. Ask for help before something becomes a problem, not after.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a role with real-time problem solving and heavy phone contact: scheduling, dispatch, staffing, busy front desk, hospitality, or similar

  • Strong computer skills and quick to learn new software

  • Valid Idaho driver's license, reliable vehicle, current auto insurance

  • Able to pass a background check and meet Idaho caregiver requirements

  • Willing and physically able to provide hands-on care in an emergency

Nice to have: home care, senior living, or staffing agency experience · WellSky or ClearCare · CNA or caregiving background · recruiting experience

We would rather hire the right temperament and teach the industry.

What we offer

Competitive hourly pay with meaningful bonus potential. Flexible scheduling, part-time or full-time. Paid training and certification. Direct access to the owners and real influence on how this business runs. Genuine growth path as we expand.

HomeWell Care Services of Boise is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. Employment is contingent on a background check and the ability to meet Idaho home care requirements.
