Description Position at Ookla

The Opportunity: We are looking for an independent, hands-on, data-minded Program Manager to help us support the Brand Licensing segment of our business. The global Brand Licensing team works together closely to develop and deliver the Speedtest Awards and Marketing Rights programs. This position is focused on supporting clients in the Americas region, and will report to the Director, Global Brand Licensing Program and is a part of a global team. They will help facilitate the Speedtest Awards program, and will also act as the primary liaison between clients and our Brand Licensing team whenever clients make public marketing claims backed by Ookla data. The Brand Licensing Manager will need to be exceptionally flexible and have a demonstrated ability to guide clients through a wide range of complex programmatic and business challenges. The ideal candidate will possess an uncanny ability to multi-task and independently prioritize their time to maximize business and customer benefit. They will be able to interact effectively across a wide range of functional roles and problem spaces, and will possess tremendous attention to detail. They will be able to work in an extremely fast paced, highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment on a global team who supports each other daily. The ideal candidate has proven success with account management and enjoys developing positive customer relationships. They can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people across multiple geographies, and know how to apply Ookla data to help clients achieve their marketing goals. Key Responsibilities: Speedtest Awards and Claims:

  • The brand manager will work closely with the regional sales team to support clients who have won and licensed Speedtest Awards and Marketing Claims.

  • They will coordinate and manage the Brand Licensing Client Management Lifecycle, including but not limited to:

  • Pre-sales support including client research, presentations, and claim opportunity assessment/prioritization

  • Client launch and asset management including on-boarding, collateral customization and delivery, claim guidance, social media assets, substantiation documents and creative feedback/approvals based on program guidelines

  • Coordinate and align timelines for asset delivery and client campaign launch

  • Proactively review market data to help determine the types of claims that clients could make and highlight possible claims to the sales team (pre-sales support) or to the client (post-sales support). Cross-Functional:

  • Work alongside the sales and client services team to answer questions and provide support on awards and marketing-related inquiries.

  • Work alongside the Product, Marketing and Data teams to execute process improvements.

  • Collaborate with other program and product team members to bring new claims and awards to market.

  • Work alongside the Design team on award asset fulfillment and customization

  • Verify information about internet service providers and mobile network operators worldwide.

  • Assist with data organization to streamline the flow between processing to customer and sales team delivery.

  • Organize and archive brand use cases from clients.

  • Assist Content team in creating brand case studies the sales team can use for current/prospective client meetings.

  • Consult with Analyst teams for specific projects highlighting networks in-region.

  • Provide feedback to Enterprise Marketing team members for future engagements in- market. Job Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in agency, media or brand partnerships account management role with track record of sales enablement/growth and direct client relationships

  • Background in Telecommunications industry (mobile or fixed internet)

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (must)

  • Understanding of internet connectivity technology and terminology, a plus

  • Understanding of marketing strategy, campaign planning and GTM execution

  • Experience with licensing, brand partnerships (agency model) sales cycle, a must

  • Superior written and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills

  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, master’s degree preferred

  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel. Experience with database tools, like MySQL and Tableau, a plus.

  • Experience with project management software such as Asana, JIRA, a plus

  • Web publishing experience, with previous published works containing data visualizations, a plus

  • Travel required up to 25% of time

Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $80,000 to $120,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
