A Brief Overview

The Radiology Transport is consistently thorough to verify patient identification, verify all transport information on the patient's order, transport patients in a timely manner as requested, utilizes all safety equipment to secure the patient, and explain the transport process to the patient and/or family member to facilitate cooperation and alleviate patient and/or family anxiety. The Radiology Transport Aide consistently demonstrates competency in affective communication and proper body mechanics.

What you will do

  • Performs medical transport for patients to and from the Radiology Department.

  • Applies proper body mechanics while lifting, pulling, and pushing patients and equipment during patient transfer and transport.

  • Performs accurate documentation of patient medical records.

  • Provides excellent patient care.

  • Cover all sites as necessary.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Previous experience with patient care in a hospital setting.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years isRequired
