Shift’s Available: Nights
Employment Type: Full Time
Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00am – 7:00pm (12hr shifts)
Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS
A Tele Charge Registered Nurse oversees nursing operations on our telemetry unit, coordinating staff assignments, managing patient care, and ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring is safely conducted. They serve as both a clinical expert and team leader, handling emergencies, facilitating communication, and supporting both patients and staff.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

Staff Coordination: assign nursing staff to patients based on patient acuity, nurse experience, and current workload

Unit Supervision: monitor overall operations of the telemetry unit during the shift, ensuring workflow efficiency and patient safety

Direct Patient Care: provide hands-on care for high-acuity or deteriorating patients when needed, including administering medications and treatments

Telemetry Monitoring: interpret cardiac telemetry strips, identifies arrhythmias, and initiates appropriate interventions or escalations

Problem-Solving: act as the go-to person for clinical issues, staff concerns, or resource shortages during the shift
Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Current and valid state RN License

Current BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained current.

Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
