Job Title: Production Assembler 3rd shift

Job Description

The Production Assembler participates in all operational activities within the modification department, focusing on the receiving, staging, unpackaging, modification, repackaging, and shipping of assembled cabinetry. This role combines hands-on woodworking and assembly tasks with accurate paperwork completion to ensure cabinets are modified to specification and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full modification process of assembled cabinets according to the description and specifications on each order.

  • Receive, unload, and stage incoming assembled cabinetry for modification in an organized and efficient manner.

  • Unpackage assembled cabinetry, prepare it for modification, and ensure all components are accounted for before work begins.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment to unassemble, modify, and reassemble cabinetry to meet required standards.

  • Inspect cabinets and components during and after modification to verify quality, accuracy, and completeness.

  • Repackage modified cabinetry securely and prepare it for shipment, ensuring all parts and hardware are included.

  • Complete all associated paperwork accurately, including order documentation, modification records, and shipping-related forms.

  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules and departmental goals.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including proper storage and care of tools and equipment.

  • Participate in the operation and basic maintenance of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools used in cabinet modification.

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines while lifting, carrying, and handling cabinetry and materials.

  • Support general production and warehouse activities as needed, including general labor and inspection tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read, speak, and write English to understand work orders, safety instructions, and documentation requirements.

  • At least 1 year of production experience or similar experience in carpentry or woodworking.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for assembly and woodworking tasks.

  • Basic woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling components.

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment, and moving parts.

  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately and interpret measurements for precise modifications.

  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting above the shoulder, bending, walking, standing, and carrying heavy products.

  • Attention to detail to ensure cabinets are modified correctly according to order specifications.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete associated paperwork accurately.

  • Previous experience in cabinet assembly, woodworking, or a similar production environment.

  • Experience with inspection and quality checks in a production or warehouse setting.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities based on business needs.

Shift:

3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 8:00 pm-5:15 am paying $19 an hour once hired on $19.50 an hour

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manchester, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
