College Hospitality Supervisor

Department: MCC South Campus 700185

Employment Type: Part Time

Location: Macomb Community College

Reporting To: Heather Hintz

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented College Hospitality Supervisor to join our team. The College Hospitality Supervisor will be responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down banquet events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a keen eye for detail.

Onsite at Macomb Community College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and other event equipment according to the event plan.

  • Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Clean-Up: Clear tables, remove dishes, and ensure the banquet area is clean and orderly during and after events.

  • Coordination: Work closely with the kitchen and event coordinators to ensure timely and efficient service.

  • Customer Interaction: Address guest needs and requests promptly and courteously.

  • Safety and Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical requirements

  • Clean driving record

  • Chauffeur’s license
