We are currently hiring at our Warehouse in Channelview Texas
Position Hiring : Warehouseman
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00
Per Diem (if eligible): None offered
Work Schedule: 40 hours

Job Responsibilities:

Receives material coming into the warehouse by vendors, customers, or returning from projects accurately and promptly.

Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking items received against the packing list.

Prepares a receiving report if none is available.

Examine incoming shipments for damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.

To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.

Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to projects or vendors.

Review all requisitions to determine if they were picked correctly.

Ensure warehouse cleanliness is maintained on a regular basis.

Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
What you will bring to the role:
-
Be able to identify items by size, type, style, color or manufacturer.

Solid reading skills – must be able to read requisitions for materials to be shipped
-
Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
-
Forklift Certification a plus but not required
-
Ability to understand and execute instructions.

General understanding of the warehouse and footprint
-
Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices or computers if necessary.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
