Role Specific Responsibilities

Deliver instruction in Chinese for Chinese Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies for students in the Chinese Immersion Program

Collaborate closely with fellow upper grade Immersion teachers to provide holistic support, including academic development and social emotional development, for two cohorts of Grade 4 Immersion students
Position Requirements & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
-
Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred
-
Teaching license or a degree in education
-
At least two years of full time teaching experience in a dual language or immersion setting preferred
-
Training and experience with the Reggio Inspired approach to early childhood education preferred
-
Strong understanding of translanguaging and language bridging preferred
-
Standards-based curriculum experience (Common Core, ACTFL standards) preferred
-
Excellent verbal and written English and Chinese language skills
-
Confident technology skills for teaching and administrative tasks
