As a trainee, you'll participate in a 1–2 year accelerated leadership program, gaining hands-on experience with products, customers, and team members while learning Wegmans values, operations, and business practices. Designed to prepare you for a Department Manager role, this program offers a strong foundation for a rewarding leadership career with opportunities for growth.

What You'll Do

  • Complete a 1-2 year leadership training program through hands-on experience, seminars, and regular coaching sessions

  • Work directly with products, customers, and team members to learn all aspects of department leadership

  • Develop skills in people leadership, team building, merchandising, sales growth, and profitability

  • Partner with Department Managers, trainers, and coaches to receive feedback and support your professional growth

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of supervisory experience
