Developer Tools, the team that powers the App Store is seeking a Product Designer to help shape experiences for App Store Connect and TestFlight. This suite of products is the platform that allows App developers to manage, modify, analyze, and publish content to the App Store.

This designer will create experiences for responsive web and Apple’s native platforms (iOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS).

Description

We are looking for an outstanding designer who is passionate about product design and wants to help shape the future for app developers. The designer will be responsible for researching and designing new user experiences based on product requirements, new App Store features, and changes impacting our platforms. Deliverables include high-fidelity comps, prototypes, and documentation required for pixel-perfect hand-off between design and engineering. The role will work alongside product, engineers, and cross-functional teams to craft best in-class experiences for our developers.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record solving complex problems across multiple platforms. The candidate has an eye for pixel-perfect detail and possesses a strong blend of user-centered design principles, interaction and visual design skills. The applicant must have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. Prior experience working within and contributing to a design system is a plus.

The candidate must thrive through iteration, feedback and be a natural collaborator with excellent communication skills. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently or part of a small team, and perform complex tasks under minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Interaction, Graphic Design, Media Arts.

  • 5+ years of design experience working within a technical environment with data-driven tools and enterprise-level interfaces that solve complex workflows.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing creative problem-solving, user centered design and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate design concepts through white boarding sessions, sketches and wireframes.

  • Highly motivated by group critique and seeks out feedback and is energized by it.

  • An understanding of how to apply Apple’s design aesthetic and user interactions.

  • Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills.

  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and change.

  • A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.

  • Proficient in Sketch, Figma etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to prototype and/or a desire to learn.

  • Outstanding ability to lead and present a design-first vision.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and requirements.

  • Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
