Job Description:

Performs all duties of an Occupational Therapist as per Occupational Therapist job description.
-
Promotes a collaborative and supportive environment by serving as a mentor and positive role model for clinical staff and students, fostering professional growth, teamwork, and clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and engaging in autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, and clinical practice education within a peer group.

Contributes to and participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.
-
Troubleshoots and addresses questions from staff and others, resolving issues timely.
-
Offers suggestions to improve services and viable solutions to resolve problems.
-
Ensures compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation.
-
Mentors staff, encourages staff development and educational opportunities.
-
Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
-
Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.

Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.

Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.

Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats with patients, staff, physicians, nurses, and administrators.
